The worst apartment complex experience I’ve ever had. I’ve lived here almost a year, here are the issues I’ve encountered: - when we took the tour, they showed us this very nice, updated apartment, but when it was time to sign the papers they told us it’s not available then proceeded to move us into a very outdated “landlord special~vibe apartment with 5 gallon buckets of paint still in the closets that we were told to take to the dumpster ourselves. -no outdoor lights, causing us to trip and fall down stairs because of the short dark days (going to work and coming home). I’ve made many phone calls requesting service on these lights and I keep getting told “someone will be out the next week” almost weekly. Which is funny because they got a whole building tore down and built back up in a
Don't live here but spoke with management about potentially moving. The man who called me was very open and honest about how they're new to the complex and lots of changes are underway. I asked about the construction I saw when I drove through as well as how they're responding to all the negative reviews online. He communicated very well and answered all of my questions directly. I respect how he handled my line of questioning and our decision not to move here was due to other, unrelated reasons. We would still consider this complex in the future if we wanted to stay in the area.
It's incredibly difficult to contact the leasing office. They are frequently closed or have a sign on their door during what should be business hours saying that they are on a break. Since the new management took over I don't think I've ever successfully gotten hold of them on the phone either. Maintenance requests take a long time to be completed if/when you can even reach them. I called the emergency maintenance number and not only did no one pick up, but their voicemail box was full. Management has changed hands multiple times in the past few years; the newest group is polite when you do finally make contact, but it seems like a lot of necessary work just isn't getting done. Pretty common for apartment living in Federal Way, but my car was broken into, so it's not the safest place eithe
Eventhough they recently changed the management but it’s so disappointing. We have to go to the bank and spent extra money and time on money orders and checks to pay rent; we tried and tried with emails and calls to pay our rent but new company blamed on the website then when we showed up at the office, the management made us feel likes we are the problem. Never answer the phone after 5pm…. Even for emergencies they make us have to email… hopefully owner see this before they lose all the tenants. Seem likes the new management care more about how the office looks than What goes on inside the units. Spending All funds making the office looks great mean while we have no lights outside of our building for months.
I’m warning everyone who’s considering moving in here. Save your time, money, and most importantly, your stress. It will be a lot but I’m going to contact all the ex tenants and file legal papers with this Encore. Most of the reviews will get respond with a similar writing as “owners,” but that’s as far as they’ll go in fixing the problem. No direct contact. NOTHING. We pay a couple of thousand dollars plus utilities, but the unit is falling apart. Most of the things are either broken or on the verge of breaking down. We’ve filed a work order report, but it has been sitting on their website for months. The main phone line is either busy or they’ll say they’ll send someone “soon” as long as maintenance is available. What a joke! Recently, a man broke the windows of approximately eight vehi
