I would give Empire Realty 0 stars if I could. Please see below the reasons why: 1. Rent Payment Via Mail - Often apparently goes 'Missing' You must pay via checks in the mail, these are often 'lost' and 'accidentally shredded' and have to be resent. During my 18 month stay, this happened at least 5 times. I wasted $23 each time doing speed mail as I was then threatened with eviction, yes eviction! This created an incredible amount of stress every month as after they claimed they didn't have the checks and threatened eviction, they were then very slow to respond. 2. Roommate Illegal Activity - Complaints ignored Empire Realty disregarded all complaints of roommates. My roommate consistently smoked weed inside the apartment and this complaint was completely disregarded. 3. Little to no

If I could give zero stars, I would. We rented for two years through Empire Realty (3 people, each paying $1,500/month). Our "newly renovated" apartment had mice issues, water-line breaks, and our counter even fell out of the wall (took them 4 months to finally send someone to fix it). We were never late on payments and one day they evicted us for "noise complaints" though we had never once received one. After respectfully leaving the apartment, they still expected us to pay the remaining two months rent. WORST company on the planet. Do yourself a favor and go through literally any other company if you're looking for rentals. You'd probably have better luck letting a 3 year old help you find an apartment.

0 STARS...I wish I read the reviews for Empire Reality before I signed a year lease TWICE, they are clearly so unprofessional as a landlord and property management firm. I strongly recommend to never rent with this company. Here is a list of everything my roommates and I had to deal with this company over the duration of our lease: Our door buzzer was never installed. Our unit was on the top floor so we would have to walk all the way down to open the door, instead of buzzing guests in. They promised us multiple times that the buzzer would be fixed but never was after 2 years. Our counter fell off the wall and the maintenance guy blamed us for ‘sitting on it’ when that was not the case at all. Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely horrible experience. My roommates and I signed the lease for two years to be evicted with 2 months left (we are also college seniors so we don’t have a place to stay until graduation now). We were evicted for “ignored noise complaints” when there is 0 documentation of any noise complaints. After respectfully evicting the premises, they now are demanding that we pay the rent for the additional 2 months, and have given us LESS THAN A WEEK, May 5, to do so, or they will be taking legal action. DO NOT RENT FROM EMPIRE REALTY!!!!!

I would give zero stars if I could. When I moved in, in Sept 2017, every possible fixture was broken or out of repair, my apartment had very few working lights, plaster holes in the bathroom, putrid water in the dishwasher, broken wall unit AC (that was not fixed until late October, way past when it was needed), steel wool and mousetraps everywhere (so clearly prior rodent issues), no working closet doors--even the water faucet handles and the toilet paper roll holder fell off in your hand! If it could possibly break, it was broken. Now that I live here, I can say from first hand experience that they are very slow to respond to any maintenance requests, even serious ones like code violations.
