When I tell you I am glad my lease is up with Empire Properties. Lord knows I don't know what I would do If I had to stay a full year with these folks. I was originally renting through Destination Real Estate who by the way is a wonderful Property Management company! They were the ones managing my current apartment complex but Empire Properties ended up buying them! From day one they have been very UNPROFESSIONAL, they are extremely intrusive, this is predatory property management company! I have nothing good to say about them! I was able to secure housing elsewhere and can not wait until the 28th of February to give them there keys! I'm sure they will find a way not to give me my security deposit back, which is why I already looking for an attorney to help me! Horrible company please DO

Don't rent from these people, very underhand low ball kind of people they have working there. If you expect your deposit back you will not get it back and if you do it'll be pennies. They put deduct when it doesn't pertain to you, they ask you to keep your lights connected 24 hours after you move out and then charge you for a reconnect fee and then show you no proof they went the day after to conduct the walk through. these people never provided me filters but expected me to provide them with filters, why? they will charge you for a cleaning crew as well that is something they are suppose to do after a tenant moves out, I cleaned that apartment out there was nothing left not even a piece of paper and they deducted that fee from me. Rent from literally anyone but them. Once your in, they are very rude, do not respond to anything they don't want to and charge you fee's for everything!!!! They take advantage of people not knowing the law or who can't afford lawyers to dispute these things. They also refuse to give out actual homeowner information. I would give them minus two stars

I should preface this with two things. First, I know I posted this on Yelp. I'm just doing this here before my SAIL reviews show I have more reach on here. That and I can usually believe positive reviews since I wasn't there. That just feels wrong here after moving there in 2017 due to it being affordable. It sucked being unable to own a cat or dog since we were the only ones with that restriction. At least it wasn't a problem for almost a decade. Unfortunately, it wouldn't last long when we started to get the biggest palmetto bugs/roaches, pest control only came once or two. We also found that our appliances would break down a lot, and the A/C and the water heater was the only thing that fixed quickly. That was due to the townhouse being built in the 70's and a law saying those things

They are the lowest rated property management company for a reason and the reviews speak for themselves… was very transparent with them about my financial situation, requesting a payment plan to catch me up, despite that, they are evicting me, and naturally suing me for damages they don’t even know the property has yet because I have not yet left… and oh… Shannon???? Their property manager… Texting me saying “WHERES YOUR RENT” is severely unprofessional and quite disgusting. No wonder tenants have literally wanted to fight you. There’s a special place in hell for you.. pretending to be a decent human being while mocking your other tenants about how you sued and charged them for all types things as a scare tactic to a new tenant is also unprofessional… I don’t see how you’re even employed.
