Elmwood Manor Apartments & Townhouses

I really enjoy living here it’s very close to the University of Rochester, which makes the location incredibly convenient. The management team is wonderful, especially Lisa Fergen, the property manager. She is friendly, supportive, and always willing to help. I’ve lived here for almost two years and have never experienced any issues. The maintenance team is phenomenal prompt, professional, and efficient. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a great place to live.

I’ve lived here for roughly three years. Since moving in, the rent has gone up hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and I genuinely don’t understand why. Living here has caused a lot of anxiety for me and several neighbors. There have been dozens of cars broken into (including mine). In fact I saw a truck broken in to this morning. There have been multiple cars stolen and driven off the lot, and even people robbed at hatchet point. Every time I hear a noise outside or walk to my car in the morning, I’m expecting the worst. They did hire security, but their schedules are incredibly easy to memorize and just as easy to avoid, clearly it’s not effective as cars were smashed into and vandalized this weekend. So far, after a couple weeks in, I really like my apartment. For an older building it is in pretty great condition. Maintenance and the main office are both responsive and kind. The community itself is quiet, but, as with all apartments, your neighbors play a big role. Sound inevitably travels and that's expected...but sometimes, people are also just bad at being considerate neighbors. So, all to say, I heavily recommend Elmwood Manor...but maybe try to be on the top floor...

Good, spacious apartments at competitive prices, right next to the Highland park! Apartments come with a separate storage space as well. The community is quite big. The management and maintenance staff is pretty good and quick to act on your requests.

Great place to live! Would recommend to everyone! The maintenance department is friendly and helpful at all times.
