***warning before you ever rent from this place (unless you are fine without heat in subzero temps)*** Upon many other issues my close friend has been having with this facility the main issue is no heat. He has not had heat in over 10 days. While New York State was under a winter weather advisory he did not have heat. When the wind chill was -25F, he did not have heat. When businesses were closed due to the cold weather, he did not have heat. All during this time, the management and maintenance teams have been fully aware of the lack of heat. They gave him 2 space heaters to leave on 24/7 even while he is gone at work for 10+ hours everyday- which is a massive fire code violation. They have openly said they still have not called electricians or have done anything to resolve this issue. No

I have lived at Elm Hill for almost 5 years and have always had a great experience with great neighbors plus the office has always been great. This year we unfortunately had to deal with a hiccup regarding a new tenant in 40 unit 1, they moved in and the daughters room was below ours and had been loud for over a year, even after trying to address it and ask politely that it be turned down they still chose to be rude and disrespectful. We were working with elm hill regarding the issue and had a sound test done by Camillus Police Department in which they found that the noise we had been hearing was indeed true and a statement was made and confirming that all the calls made were legit. I have lived here for 18 years. Jeremy in maintenance is one of my favorites. He’s been here a few years and has made such an impact. No problem is too big or small. He’s always willing to help and takes pride in his work. He gets the job done the first time and always with a smile.

I lived in elm hill for a year and was harassed and my kids called the “N” word by my neighbors in unit 5. Also they have an on going roach problem so beware the laundry room always has dirty clothes sitting in there for weeks. Apt 5 is rented by a police officer and his girlfriend. They called the police on me over 30 times in a year with only one finding of noise out of all those calls. The management was no help they took there side because he is the law. Office manager Kayla is very messy when it comes to giving tenants information on other tenants. She will tell all of your business to everyone. She even told tenants where my rent came from. I have lived in a TH for 11 years. The current staff at Elm Hill is the BEST Team by far, since I have lived here. Office Team - Site Manager and Entire Maintenance Team all strive to keep the complex running efficiently and work with tenants to address any issues that should occur.
