Ellington Farms

I toured this apartment community today and had a great experience. Mike, the property manager, showed me around and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The community itself is beautiful, well-kept grounds, clean buildings, and a genuinely inviting atmosphere. Mike took the time to answer all my questions and made the whole tour feel easy and enjoyable.

UPDATED REVIEW: as I’ve lived here for just under 5 years, I felt the need to reiterate how much I truly do love living here. Apartment life, especially in Wilmington, can be tough (if you know, you know) but this is such a great spot. It’s a small, quiet, safe community and is pretty close everything in Wilmington (downtown, 40, college area, the beach, mayfaire, and portners neck). It’s pet friendly and a great place for a small family, a retirees, or a single person or couple in their 20s or 30s. The property is well maintained and the amenities are smaller but proportionate to the size of the complex and really all you need - a nice gym, a pool with a lounge area, TV, and restrooms, a dog park, and grill and fire pit area. The apartments are nice inside, however when I first moved in I had a lot of issues! (such as bees nests both inside and outside the home, the refrigerator was sticky and not cleaned out, the carpets were filthy with hair and were not shampooed, the water pressure is low, a broken toliet seat lid, walls are cracking and were not repainted, etc) The grills are filled with flys and ants. The pool and the pool bathroom are dirty and never maintained. There is dog poop everywhere, no one cleans up after their dog. The property manager Sharon is rude and talks about other residents to other residents. I feel unwelcomed going into the leasing center. Anytime I call the leasing center there is no answer or no one is ever there. I am very disappointed with the way this complex is running.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Ellington Farms! From the moment I walked in, Mike and Lissette made me feel incredibly welcome and valued. Their customer service is top-notch, professional, personable, and genuinely caring. They took the time to answer all me and my wifes questions, walk us through the leasing process, and made sure I felt completely at ease every step of the way. It’s rare to find a team that’s so passionate about making sure potential residents feel comfortable and confident in their decision, and Mike and Lissette certainly did that! By far my favorite place I’ve ever lived. I have moved around a lot and this is my favorite apartment. Here are all the reasons: 1. Smaller community means you get very quick responses for maintenance (same day or next day in all of my cases). Doug with maintenance is awesome. 2. Has the amenities of a large complex, really nice pool, grill, outside lounge area and is never crowded. Nice, clean gym with newer equipment that is 24 hours and also hardly used! 3. Unbeatable price for the location being minutes away from mayfaire and wrightsville beach ($300) less monthly than other apartments nearby. 4.
