If you enjoy endless email exchanges just to get a clean apartment, this is the perfect place for you. I moved in two months ago, and after what the manager proudly described as two rounds of cleaning, I was greeted with a filthy microwave, visible stains on drawer handles, grime on the refrigerator and weird sticky residue in the washing machine. When I asked for a professional deep cleaning (or at least reimbursement for one), they simply refused. The dishwasher story deserves its own paragraph. From day one, it reeked and looked disgusting. Maintenance came twice, and both times their idea of “cleaning” was just running an empty cycle with a cleaning tablet. Unsurprisingly, the smell persisted. Great building if you’re looking for a luxury apartment in south loop area. I work at Uchicago and the commute is extremely easy while keeping me close to the city outside of work hours. It’s located across from Trader Joe’s, Jewel Osco, several coffee shops, 3 CTA lines (orange line goes directly to Midway for easy out of town travel), 3 Divvy bike stations, and several restaurants. Also location is close to Chinatown for some of the best cuisine in the city. The building itself is very well maintained. The pool/hot tub, common areas, and gym are well worth amenities. I’ve never had a problem with any maintenance issues and the staff has been very attentive and helpful with any request I have. Of course, look around and compare prices to other apartments but from my own research, this

Moved into 1140 in June. Had never visited Chicago previously so wasn’t sure what to expect, but 1140 blew everything out of the water! The location and amenities are phenomenal. Having a Target, Trader Joe’s, Jewel Osco, and a Walgreens all within walking distance is amazing! The rooftop pool & hot tub in the summer is a must!!

Leasing review. I came to Chicago for touring studios And Darko was very helpful during the tour. I loved the building and eventhough the gym isn’t huge the apt that I was shown #1708 was stunning . Unfortunately out of my budget , but otherwise I would have chose this complex based on Vibes.
