Elevate on 5th

The present leasing personnel were fantastic, professional and competent. Not happy with the ridiculous fees attached to the water bill. Elevators were out a few times but repaired quickly. I saw no roaches. Homeless were sneaking in and stole 400 dollars of Amazon packages from my door. And upon leaving I'm charged a ridiculous re rental fee of 3000 dollars. Don't expect to get your deposit back. And they entered my apartment without my consent or notice several times.

This is by far the worst apartment-living experience I’ve seen from up close. My husband (boyfriend at the time) lived here for over a year. I used to visit him often, and almost every time, the elevators were out of order. A few times that I stayed over, the fire alarms would start going off in the middle of the night for nothing, and the whole community would be waiting out on the streets in the freezing cold till it could be taken care of. Even on the nights that I wasn’t there, my partner had the same experience multiple times; it was frustrating to say the least. I lived in Elevate for 3 years, in two different units. Throughout these years we saw a few different management change frequently and even the entire management company change. I point this out because I would like to give credit to the fact that with this many employees changing, I understand there are growing pains and natural issues with things being lost in communication between groups. However, I would never recommend that somebody sign a lease here. The biggest issues I noticed with Elevate: - ROACHES: I experienced continual roach problems. Every time we saw a roach in our unit, we would immediately report it and supposedly be put on a pest control list. The staff in the leasing office and maintenance are outstanding. A special shoutout to Jace! I was in a difficult situation and could not get home to take care of it. He jumped in and went above and beyond. He saved the day with his kindness and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Awful place to live, never had the elevators working, made a big deal when they were activated again. Appliances never worked, went without a dryer for 2 months and they tried to blame it on us and make us pay for it. Blinds were falling apart, homeless people harassing resident constantly. They tried to scam us, for 2 months worth of utilities that we had paid for and they admitted to. Attempted to make us pay for carpet they had to "replace" but they only cleaned it. There was a pipe that burst in the lobby that leaked into our apartment and made the wall. This then grew mold and their solution was to just glue to wall back and didn't adress the mold.
