Lived there for 3 years. The apartment felt damp, molds in the kitchen . The onsite management consistently changed some better than others, which made communication difficult. Maintenance was not done on time. So many hidden fees on top of the rent. Overall not worth it, especially the expensive rent they charged!

Anyone living at or considering eight70 should read this for their own safety: 870 Hilgard Ave has had multiple break-ins the past few months and the Management does not care. My apartment was broken into recently at gunpoint in the middle of the night by a large, black hooded and masked male. Police showed up, in true Los Angeles fashion, about an hour later. 870 was notified, and their attitude was severely dismissive as they tried to poke holes in my story and blame me, the victim. The security "guard" that supposedly works on site conveniently stepped out that night. There are several major security breaches at 870, but I won't mention them here because that would help them too much. Lived here for 2 years as a UCLA student and had a positive experience. The location is great - just a 10-minute walk to campus, plus there's a bus stop right outside. The property is always clean and safe, and the gym has all the essentials. What really sets this place apart is property manager Tiffani - she's incredibly responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Really enjoyed my time here and will miss it!

Overall a great experience! Amazing location since it's close to botanical garden and grocery stores. Amenities were all great (loved the pool and free coffee every morning). Tiffani was the best property manager! She's very responsive (even outside of work hours) and able to solve issues in a quick manner. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a smooth move-in and peaceful time!

We came to UCLA and stayed for more than half year. Eight70 is very legit and accountable. I am very glad I stayed here during in UCLA. It is safe and clean. About rental fee, I would say it is reasonable and not really not higher than neighboring units from my understandings. My family had a good time there. Highly Recommended.
