Avoid 7050 Hawthorn Ave at all costs. The management Ecco living and staff at this building are some of the most unprofessional I’ve ever dealt with. Maintenance issues are ignored for weeks or months, communication is selective, and their behavior is passive-aggressive at best. If they don’t feel like responding, they simply won’t — sometimes for days. There is no on-site management, which becomes a nightmare if anything urgent happens. If you lose your key or get locked out, you can be stuck outside your own apartment for days, especially on weekends, because calls and messages go unanswered. I moved in a few months ago, and it was NOT a good decision. It got so bad to the point in which all the tenants had to make a groupchat to expose the pure neglect going on in the building. There’s homeless people living in the building, no cameras, no assistance or response, and multiple issues in each unit that remain un-fixed. The ownership group also “refuses” to talk to tennants directly. It’s ridiculous

STAY AWAY FROM ECCO LIVING. Do not rent here. This place is a complete scam, and once you move in, they will refuse almost every request you make. Need a spare key for your own apartment for your kids or family in case of an emergency? They will tell you NO. No matter what. Even if you are willing to pay. But when it comes to taking your money, they act fast and have zero mercy. They will squeeze you for payments immediately, and the lease agreement is written in a way that gives them insane power. For example, they can tow your car even from your own parking spot that you pay for, without notifying you first. Yes, your spot. The one you’re paying for. They will still tow you. Almost every resident in this building is mad because the management does not care about basic living conditions.
