I've only been in the city a short time (2 years) and this is the only apartment management company I've had to deal with. Before leasing with them I was just subletting a room in someone else's apartment. This company is very hands off. And neglectful. After reporting a clogged sink and iffy toilet for nearly a year with various non response, my roommate and I hired a plumber and then deducted that cost from our rent for that month. I sent a long a letter explaining with the rent check. Now they won't cash that check, won't return my calls, never renewed our lease so they can ask us to leave at any time (we can also leave at any time, which will be soon) As soon as summer rents come down I plan on looking elsewhere.

Maintenance issues in 354 Ocean Ave are not addressed, multiple units have recurring bathroom ceiling leaks, security issues in the building means that mail and packages are regularly stolen.
