Dsm Rental

Do not recommend. You can be good tenants, clean the place thoroughly, pay rent on time every month and still have over half your deposit taken from you. They (Jennie Le Beau Roen) will gaslight you into thinking you damaged things because they “weren’t on the prior report”. I had a friend that lived here that had the same experience. She charges multiple tenants for the same damage that they themselves do not repair. If you do choose to live there - be sure to do your own VERY thorough walk through with pictures and time stamps. There are MUCH better options in the area with management that actually cares about their tenants.

While we've only been living here for a few months, we've had a few issues that involved Maintenance coming to take a look. Dwayne was incredibly helpful and understanding of what was going on with our unit. He explained everything to us so we knew what to do if it occurred again. We lucked out with great maintenance and property manager!

Stay away! You can find a better rental anywhere else for a better price and A place that gives you a warning that maintenance is coming! Run as far as you can from this place and save your money!

Read any dsm rental lease very carefully before signing. According to Iowa state law landlords and apartment complexes have to give a 24 hour notice before entering any apartment unless for emergency, which is what dsm rental states in the first part of their lease. BUT in the second part of their lease here it states if you put in a work order they are allowed to come into your apartment at ANY time. Which, first of all, is extremely contradicting! Secondly, does not confine to the landlord and tenant rules of Iowa! In my experience with the management, once you put a work order in they tell you that it’s an “automatic 24 hour notice” but they proceed to come into your apartment anytime within 24-72 hours with a 15 minute warning at best. Horrible communication and the management does not respect their tenants. Beware, when applying, this company will suck every last dollar out of you.
