Due to the poor construction and lack of integrity of the construction manager Haley, I would NOT purchase a home through brightland homes. My entire home buying experience was ruined due to Haley. She ignored 80% of the issues that we brought to her attention during the initial walkthrough by waiting until THE MORNING of my closing date to tackle the issues. Also, while rushing to fix the issues, the construction team put a hole in my soffit, creating another issues on top of the issues that were already present. I had to push my closing appointment back twice and the issues still weren’t fixed. But it gets worse, Haley gave me her word that she would fix the soffit back to its original state but she quickly went back on her word as soon as I closed. Haley stopped answering the phone and
Extremely Disappointed – Major Structural Concerns Ignored by Brightland Homes I am writing this review as a licensed real estate agent with over a decade of experience in the industry, and I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Brightland Homes. At the 11-month mark of our home warranty (November 2024), we discovered two significant linear stairstepping cracks in the brick and mortar along the back and right side of our newly built home—totaling over 40 feet of damage. These types of cracks are commonly associated with foundation movement and can be indicative of serious structural issues. We submitted a warranty repair request promptly, expecting the builder or their warranty company to investigate this properly. Shockingly, they refused to send a structural
I am a local realtor and been in business for 30 years and I not only found Gehan Homes to be of superb quality with the attention to details and innovative amenities to take care of the homeowners desires and those they didn't know they would want (hurricane shutters...Rock Stars)! It was an added plus to work with the sales counselor Lisa Burrows, she was attentive, caring and went beyond to make my clients happy and their dreams + desires come true. Kudos Lisa and Gehan!
Title: Disappointing Customer Service from New Home Builder I recently purchased a new home from a reputable builder with high expectations of quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. However, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response and assistance I have received from the builder when it comes to addressing issues that are supposed to be covered by the warranty. From the moment I moved into my new home, I noticed several issues that needed to be fixed. These issues ranged from minor cosmetic defects to more significant structural concerns. As a responsible homeowner, I promptly reported these issues to the builder's customer service department, expecting a timely resolution. Unfortunately, weeks have passed, and I have yet to receive any meaningful response or
I have to start by saying Brighland Homes doesn’t care about their customers (especially people of color). I have been looking to purchase a home for a while and finally settled for Brighland homes. Because of the short duration of the contract, during our final walkthrough, my realtor asked if I can get an inspection after the fact and if the builder will cover any repairs from the report. The construction manager said “Yes” that repairs will be covered as long as it is under one year. To make the story shower, after moving in, we realized the AC unit what was placed right outside the master bedroom was making loud noises and we couldn’t sleep. I submitted several warranty requests and the builder will not fix it, instead they said the AC manufacturer has to repair it. We called the AC in
