Tried contacting Dolly Madison Apartments multiple times to inquire about availability, and every single time, the response has been a firm “NO” – with no real help or effort to assist. They simply direct you to “check the website,” which often shows little to no updated information. It feels like they’re not interested in helping potential residents at all. Even if availability were open, the property itself is very outdated. The buildings look worn out and poorly maintained from the outside – not at all what you’d expect for a place in McLean. It's honestly surprising to see people still living here considering the condition. There are far better and newer options in the area that are more welcoming, better maintained, and responsive to inquiries. If you're considering moving to McLean

I wish I could give Dolley Madison Apartment a negative rate. I lived in Dolley Madison apartment for over two years. They inspected the apartment where I lived and did NOT return over $400 security deposit without sending me any reasons and pictures of the carpet. They deducted over $400 from the security deposit that I am supposed to receive back. Their reason was the damaged carpet. However, I was the only person in the apartment with no pets for over two years. I didn't even cook and had no guests. I literally just spelt in the apartment. I might have spilled something to the carpet but it would not cost them for over $400. I requested any pictures and details on over $400 charge but have NOT heard back from Dolley Madison management yet. I do NOT recommend Dolley Madison apa

I have lived here for more than a year and it has been a great experience, overall. No issues of pests, maintenance requests are quickly handled even outside hours, and staff are very friendly. Price is very reasonable for its location.

We have lived here for almost 2 years. We live in a 3rd floor unit and have never had a cockroach problem. In fact, they recently implemented a new pesticide program. It was a pain to have to empty our kitchen to prepare for it but it is worth not having to worry about possible infestations. The location is very convenient and the price is great. They are older apartments so you should expect the things that normally come with older buildings. Maintenance is very responsive and the property is well maintained. They are quick with snow removal, maintenance requests and seem to be upgrading the common areas and apartments.
