Dill Building - The Collection at American Tobacco Center

Since I’ve moved in it’s been one thing after the other. First there was no strip over my bedroom door on the floor so roaches kept coming into my apartment took them twice to fix that. Then my dishwasher has had to be “replaced” THREE times and still barely works. Most recently my AC unit will not stop blowing air making me and my mother sick! I’ve called maintenance twice to fix it and I’m still waiting while my electric bill sky rockets in this heat! Every time I turn the temp up to get the unit to stop it blows hot air! For a place to be nickel and diming you (all the fees they don’t tell you about) to charge you rent for a half day when they made your lease end on AUG 1 to charge me $50 when I won’t be here is crazy! So dissatisfied with this apartment building

Absolutely deplorable. Between the roaches, suspicious patches/dark stains on my ceiling, and broken appliances it was one thing after another with zero timely assistance. Management staff, specifically Chastity and Julia, showed disintrest in and were dismissive of genuine concerns over the conditions of the unit. Maitenance never fully addressed my ceiling until I moved out - and they called me requesting permission to enter a unit I no longer had access to! Did not even have access to a copy of my lease to reference re: move out and maitenance issues when they arose. Very poor experience. Do not recommend working with Bonaventure. Especially not here.

Living here is AWFUL!! If you like your peace of mind, this is not the place for you! We moved in February of 2021 and have been having issues every since. Firstly, it takes maintenance months to come and fix an issue within the apartment. Secondly, HVAC issues are constant! My dominion energy bill was ran up to $1700 and we are still paying for it! It’s never consistent! The leasing office is everything BUT helpful! They never answer the phone and they respond to emails when they feel like responding to emails. On thanksgiving, we had no heat and in the summer months had no consistent air conditioning. It’s really sad you pay all this money for rent and not be comfortable. The building is not in the best shape, see photos below

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The only nice thing I have to say is that the apartments are beautiful (although mine was really dirty upon move in). The leasing office is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. Don't expect prompt responses.. don't even expect a response at all to your problems. It is clear either they don't know what they are doing or they don't care. Maybe both. There have been a myriad of problems with our apartment that just never got fixed including mold growing in our window! I am writing this today because the final straw was when they took a week to get back with me on an issue I was having just to tell me it wasn't their problem! We will not be renewing our lease.

Whatever you do, I beg you please do not move here! It is a roach infested dump. They never complete work orders in a timely fashion. The front office speak to you in an accusatory manner when confronted. The garage isn’t secure. People break into cars in the garage constantly and nothing is done about it. They have security cameras and won’t even check them. The hallways are often littered with trash or animal waste. Don’t be fooled by the cheap rent price tag. This place is a dump of all dumps and is riddled with empty promises from staff.
