Deepdale Gardens Apartments Management

My mom, a baby boomer, grew up here, and my grandparents stayed in Deepdale the rest of their lives. I love this community for it’s NYC borough suburban greenery, quiet and friendly shareholders. Additionally, it gives young families and people with limited income a chance to buy “affordable property” (the prices are reasonable for Queens/LI) so they can build up equity for owning real estate. My husband and I moved here in February 2016 and we really love living here. Our neighbors have become family like friends. It’s always a friendly shared space in the summertime when people sit outside, barbecue and relax. The board does a great job at approving worthy and respectable buyers. Staff is very nice and helpful. I have lived here my whole life until I moved 5 years ago. My mother still lives there and Deepdale is doing a good job. The only thing I would like to see change is, more modern updates within the neighborhood and community.

The management has changed and my experience was frighteningly similar to the review left by Judith Harrison. The new person in charge, Pat, unfortunately has poor management abilities and does not know how to foster professional behavior from her staff including the security staff (in which the development has hired to interact with the community). The new management is disappointing and their ability to interact professionally with their community is concerning. ***Two months later- I just wanted to post an update regarding my previous review. After writing my review two months ago, I recently noticed a new security personnel on the job. I am beyond thrilled to see that the development took on a new security company!

Very nasty menopausal and peri menopausal women working in the management office, especially Pat a very rigid and temperamental woman. The board of directors are power driven meglomaniacs whose rules change frequently, without regard for shareholders and the financial duress their regulation changes will cause. Many penalties for simple infractions. So many shareholders people leaving in droves, that there are many vacant apartments. From my experience, a lovely neighborbood, but terrible board and management.
