Decatur Commons Family Apartments

I was an applicant for Decatur Commons Family Apartments and my experience was very unpleasant for me and my family. They didn't offer to provide a tour of the apartment before wanting me to pay a deposit, and never did show the apartment. They have poor customer service. It's times where they didn't speak to me respectfully. I had to wait 3 weeks to see if I would be approved for the apartment, however after 3 weeks, the property manager emailed me stating that I needed to pay a holding fee or they will cancel my application, then within an hour emailed me again stating that she had canceled my application because I make too much money. This had caused confusion because her employee had already told me 3 weeks prior that from looking at my paystubs, I had met the income requirements and w

I was perfectly living there with my toddles and of course just like everyone else. They stole stuff off my car. Made a police report told the office. WORST MANAGER !!! JOHANA no sympathy for other people as you should this place the people in their are awful!!!!! Marcus was the only one that had compassion with me. My second flood neighbor made me move for styling romers and my boyfriend also got hit by a rock from the coward brother that lives currently with her. The people in the office never answer the phone nor do they answer emails. First mishap was they denied ever getting my money order for the application fee. Mind you this is after I’ve already moved in!. I had to find the receipt to show that I did indeed pay. Second mishap…. My gate code doesn’t work. I’ve been asking since September for this to be fixed to no avail. Third mishap… I Was charged an extra $70 on my rent because they said my NV energy isn’t in my name, which Is NOT true. It has been since my move in date. I was charged the $70 in November, I moved in September lol. They said once it has been confirmed, the money would be applied to NV Energy and it has NOT been. They didn’t even credit me back $70 towards my rent. They just took my money and kept going. I also was told that

*** BEWARE*** My daughter and several other residents cars were stolen from this property in front of the cameras. The property manager, Joanne, was very disregarding. She wouldn't review the cameras or assist law enforcement by releasing video footage. Then, she tells the residents that the cameras are not for the tenants that pay rent. The cameras are for the property. Please make it make sense. The only way that this makes sense is if the property manager is involved in some kind of way, or getting kick backs from allowing tenants vehicles to be stolen.

Nevada Hands is a Joke. Management at Decatur Commons is another joke. They don't follow rules. Why posting rules and not living up to it. So discriminative. In my opinion, the charity foundation need to investigate the management team at Decatur Commons. They either lacking of experience, having bias or having discrimination mind set.
