Dawson Village Apartments

I moved into Dawson after living in a house for years. It has been an adjustment and everything isn't perfect, but Nicole in the office has definitely helped with any issue that has come up. All the staff I've dealt with have been good, but she has always been right on top of things and very professional even when I might have not been at my best. The 5 stars are for her. I do like my place for the most part and am about to sign my 3rd lease.

I don’t have any issues with the managers but maintenance is absolutely horrible. They will enter without telling you, leave dangerous conditions behind if you have kids, and tow your car for no reason without even telling or talking to management. Management will still make you pay to get your car back because they are so cheap. If you move here do your own maintenance which is what I was forced to do the second half of my lease in order to avoid him.

I moved here basically because I just moved back intown and needed a place bad and despite my 25 year old felony they charged me 3500 to move in. The place was much better then sleeping in my tractor truck but the management changed after a few months and the games began. To start with they wouldn't fix things I asked and had the nerve to send me a email saying it was when it wasn't so of course I would put the notice in again. My Townhouse was broken into and nothing was stolen only because I believe I came home early from my week away driving and my back door wide open pryed with screw drivers with the molded wood. Although they did repair that among other things wasn't and even the police IMPD wouldn't come to write the report smh. I told management and of course no empathy with new man

Overall as a first time renter this complex is efficient and affordable. Although having lived there two years I experienced different changes in management, neighbors, maintenance. I can say management is very kind and willing to work with you on payments etc. but the quality of the apartment itself is not great and nothing is done about it. I had to caulk my hard wood floors because there was cold air seeping through. Rodents / cats would be underneath my apartment making a ruckus crawling from the outside vents. Bathrooms were not up to date along with walls and appliances old and out dated. I did not receive a full refund of my move out deposit although I’ve provided photos of how the apt was left and that I reached out many times to maintenance to fix multiple things in the apt. As

The prices are bit high for how small they are and the fact there's no central air but theyre clean and nice the neighborhood is pretty quiet except for kids running around and the ladies in the office are amazing first leasing agents to ever understand tough situations and still work with you they're great women who will help you when you need it ❤️🙏🏼
