Our community’s experience with them has been a long pattern of misleading practices, missing money, improper control over our property, and violations of basic accountability. This company used to operate out of our community clubhouse, occupying space without paying rent or compensation, and leaving the area in terrible condition after they were finally removed. DANA operates less like a professional management company and more like hired thugs for HOA boards. If a board member had a personal issue with a homeowner, DANA would act as their enforcer, disregarding fairness, transparency, and the HOA’s governing documents. One of the most concerning issues is the handling of infractions. Homeowners often receive a notice and a bill at the same time, without any prior warning or opportunity to address or rectify the issue. This approach feels more punitive than collaborative, and it undermines any sense of community accountability. In a well-functioning HOA, it is reasonable to expect courtesy notifications—such as a phone call, an email, or even a simple knock on the door—before fees are imposed.
