Dafnonas Estates, Ltd.

They know quite a bit about the law and Building Dept. and other City agencies. They have a common sense approach, and helped us get a wonderful super. I recently put up a review expressing frustration with communication between Dafnonas and shareholders. My comments elicited a wonderful response from more than one person at the company. Their concern was genuine and the emails and phone conversation were productive. With that said, I can say say that my five stars is honest (as were the three stars I gave in prior review).

Lived at 568 82nd st apt 3F, 11209 for over 7 years, recently moved to Tampa for a better life. In that time period, the rent was relatively cheap 1575$ for 2 bedrooms, most likely they have jacked up the price. Bare minimum enhancements / laundry room in the basement is terrible, not to mention trying to even get in the door is all busted. First floor 1F and 2F are terrible tenants ( arguments and fights every other day - every other tenant in the building and surrounding neighbors have called the cops on multiple occasions and nothing has been done) 3R has like 6 ppl living there. Management doesn’t care your well being or safety, except for Kim, the rest of the staff sounds like they’re high. I gave 2 stars because they finally gave back my deposit over a month of calling each week, and

I developed a strong connection with my apartment at 416 68th St and the surrounding Bay Ridge community from the start, in early 2016, that only got stronger right up to when I moved out last month, . For a pre-war building, it’s in great shape and is properly maintained. The management company responded promptly to issues, such as leaks in the walls, and fixed them pretty quickly. The few issues that arose in my time there, which is bound to happen, were minor and resolved in such a manner that doesn’t, in the overall scheme, take away from my five star experience. I will miss that place.

The worst management company I've dealt with thus far. We have no super just a porter that they call "super". This individual only takes out the garbage, does not clean the hallways nor makes any repairs. This individual in charge of the building drinks alcohol all day and plays loud music. Numerous reports have been made to the management office, the owners themselves and they have not responded. They have all the reason to evict this person for violating the lease agreement on so many levels and disturbing the peace of the tenants and neighboring home owner and they have not taken measures to mediate this concerning issue. THIS IS THE WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE.. DO NOT MOVE TO 768 60TH STREET. THEY HAVE A "LIVE IN SUPER" WHO LITERALLY DOES NOTHING. YOU CALL HIM TO FIX SOMETHING AND HE DOESNT ANSWER BUT WILL TEXT YOU "Please text me" BUT YOU COULD BE TEXTING HIM ITS AN EMERGENCY AND HE WONT COME. THERE ARE ROACHES COMING THROUGH CRACKS IN THE WALLS AND FAMILY OF RATS OUTSIDE NEAR THE ENTRANCE. I AM A TENANT HERE AND THERE IS LITERALLY DAYSSSSSSSS THAT I GO WITHOUT HOT WATER WITHOUT ANY NOTICE OR HEADS UP IVE MADE COUNTLESS 311 CALLS AND THEY LIE AND SAY THEY HAVE FIXED ISSUES WHEN THEY HAVE NOT.
