Cypress Pond At Porters Neck

⭐ 1 Star – Be Very Careful at Move-Out I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here made me feel I had to. Be extremely careful when moving out of Cypress Pond Apartments. I was charged over $1,300 for “pet urine” carpet replacement even though I never had a pet, and never received a single pet-related lease violation. During my 6-month lease, there was a water leak from the upstairs unit (which had pets) that came into my apartment and affected the carpet. After the repair, I reported a strong odor and maintenance sprayed chemicals in the room. The smell started after that leak — not before. At move-out, management claimed the odor was pet urine and replaced the carpet. No photos were provided. No testing was provided. The determination was based on staff saying they smelled urine.

I have lived at Cypress Pond for the past 14 years and have nothing but compliments for the office staff and the maintenance guys. They have been attentive, courteous and responsive to all issues that I have encountered. The apartments are safe with great neighbors I encounter walking, at the pool, and at regular social events the office staff offer and supervise. I previously owned a home in the area and had to deal with various contractors for a multitude of different issues from HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I frequently had a significant wait time to firstly get an appointment, and then lengthy response time to have those issues addressed and ultimately resolved. The maintenance staff here at Cypress Pond is prompt, friendly and resolve problems quickly and effectively.

I worked with the leasing agent Logan and she has been GOD SENT! Logan helped me get into my apartment within 2-3 days. The apartment is so cute and has a massive sun room. The property is huge and very clean with so many trees and green spaces. Not only would I recommend working with Logan but the property is a true hidden gem. Logan deserves a raise by how efficient, caring and professional she has been.

I recently moved in to Cypress Pond and it’s my first time ever doing it solo, the ladies Logan and another wonderful lady I did not get her name but can I say how easy and helpful they were to me. I had a few small problems the second week my AC was not cooling enough but I called after hours and Brian came to the rescue !!! It stoped working again on a Sunday once again Brian came and it has been working great !!! I also had a few problems with my washer … when I came home less than 3 days I walked in to a new washer !!! I can’t but express how happy I am here and thank you for making your residents feel heard and the money worth it all !! Thankyou !!!

I’m writing this review solely for the people that are looking to rent here, not for the inevitable back-handed response from Cypress Pond. Truly, there are far better options out there than this apartment complex. We ultimately chose to make Cypress Pond our home because it was substantially cheaper and larger than the majority of apartment complexes out there right now, and that’s an exciting feature. However, please do not make that your deciding factor when looking to live somewhere comfortably. Look for a place that has reviews that exemplify the maintenance and management’s ability to maintain their complex and prioritize residences basic needs- considering you will be the one PAYING for those listed apartment features and/or amenities regardless of if you have access to it or not.
