Crystal Lake Apartments

I lived at Crystal Lake Apartments for 2 years. Over those two years, they invested into some renovations on the older apartments, safety features (like lights at trash bins), and dog-friendly things. We had a handful of minor maintenance issues which were resolved in a timely manner. The apartment was in great condition at move in. After my first year was up the rent increase was very fair. The other tenants are a mixed bag, but this is overall a nice an quiet complex with families, singles, and couples. People keep to themselves and are generally friendly. No shady actives at 2 am here which is nice and always feels safe for night walks or taking the dog out. It should be noted that in my opinion this is a very smoke free complex, I hardly ever smell cigarettes and have only smelled pot

Single bedroom; bedroom and living area nice and big. Bathroom small but usable for one person or two if you're both minimal. Small galley kitchen, wasn't great if you like to cook anything moderately elaborate, but that might not matter to you. Bathroom / kitchen tile floors were nice. Paint on kitchen cabinetry was not nice. Laundry machines still take coins; wish they took cards. If you have heavier clothing in the dryer, you may need to run it twice. Gas heat and stove were great. Snow and ice on sidewalks were reasonably well taken care of during the 2019-2020 Winter. If you value living and bedroom space over kitchen and bathroom space, this is the place for you.

We are new to the area and are very happy with our place and the management. Love love love Vicky the property manager. She made our application and move in process a breeze. It’s a safe complex and I love our neighbors. My toddler is happy playing out front and I feel safe being a single mom here.

LOVE my place! I was looking for something like this before I decide to buy a House. Nice neighbors, Lori, the manager, answers phone calls and e-mails ridiculously fast 😃! My dog was accepted without question. I have seen also pit bulls around, GSD and I don’t think they are judgmental about pit bulls at all. The apartment is huge for me and my partner. A few things not working properly when I move in, were fixed within 3 days. I also had a neighbor complaining about “ noisy “ nights coming from my apartment and the manager addressed the situation as it should be. We are very pleased ! I definitely recommend it.

2 stars because I do like the people that work the property but that is it! In the beginning it was great but as time goes on it is not. Yes the downstairs is useless in the winter with no heat and being so cold but that's not the biggest issue. The biggest for me is safety. It has gone downhill and the neighbors in here don't make my family or myself feel safe except for a small handful. There is also a problem with the water but there is always the same response "it is what you are putting down the drain it is not the water" then they put stuff in your drain and burn it leaving the apartment smelling funky for hours to just have the same issue. Pipes rattle and wistle as well. Can barely use it at all now with the smell and taste it has. Birds get into the furnace room and are told the
