Coventry Homes - Houston

Hello, I have been living in my Coventry Home since May 2025, and we’ve experienced many issues with the overall quality. The kitchen cabinets are made from very cheap materials, the walls are crooked, and the joints are clearly visible. There are also paint defects throughout the house and water leaks around the windows. Now the builder is saying the cabinets have water damage, but that doesn’t make sense. In my previous home, we used the same kitchen for over 10 years and never had any issues. Coventry Homes always has an excuse for everything instead of taking responsibility for the poor workmanship and materials used. I am very disappointed and cannot recommend Coventry Homes based on my experience

I have contacted the warranty department nearly 10 times over the past 3 months, yet no one has come to inspect or resolve these issues. Each time I call, I am told someone will follow up or that a manager will get involved, but nothing ever happens. Text messages go unanswered, and there has been absolutely no follow-through. When I reported the towel rack falling off the wall, I was told the warranty does not cover it. If the builder is not responsible, then who is responsible for the quality of the installation? Additionally, the walls are cracking and the paint finish is uneven and sloppy, clearly reflecting poor workmanship and substandard construction. First, we are NOT first time homeowners and have owned a Perry and David Weekley home in the past. These builders all use the same trades. What we loved about Coventry was the floor plan and the Sales Person. Matt was one of the only salesmen to listen to what we needed. He wasn't just pushing a sale. He was helping us through a new chapter. The builder was friendly and the few small issues we found were taken care of. We love our Coventry Home!

First time home buyer here and have been very excited with our new house in the Sienna area. They were very accommodating on the initial and up to the final steps of purchasing our very first house. Not until we signed the contract and purchased the house we thought was perfect for our little family. I only noticed later on on how they strategically set up for our final walk thru and the signing of the contract. Only gave us an hour to do the final walk thru because they scheduled it close to the signing of our contract where we have to drive 45mins from the house to the place where we will do the contract signing. Raised a lot of concerns regarding the final walk thru but they reassured us that they are gonna work on it because we still have a year to go thru all the flaws of the house.

Believe the negative reviews. The homes are highly priced, but the build quality is far below expectations. After submitting a warranty request, it is extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone. When communication does happen, it is often informal and unprofessional, typically through text messages that go unanswered after your response. I strongly recommend completing both home inspections, one after signing and another before the warranty period ends. If I could go back, I would not have purchased a home with Coventry. The paint used is very low quality, as are many of the materials. The kitchen cabinets are not waterproof, minimal contact with water causes visible damage. The same issue applies to the flooring. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. 0/10.
