Cortland North Dallas

I absolutely adore living here. The move in process was seamless and the front office staff are nice and so very helpful. It is peaceful here and they are committed to keeping the grounds clean and well maintained. The apartment was spotless when I moved in and the couple of maintenance requests I had were taken care of in less than 24h. Not to mention the gym is well equipped for a complex gym, and I’ve had good workouts in it. The equipment is also well maintained in the gym as well. I’m super happy with this complex and I’m glad I decided on Cortland when I was touring.

I left work early and drove 35 mins to tour this property and get some information on 2 apartments I saw on the website. I was pretty excited! I made it about an 1.5 hours before the leasing office closed so that I'd have plenty of time to see everything and apply. The leasing agent was so cold and short tempered and acted so annoyed that I was there. As soon as I sat down, I immediately felt disappointed with everything I did just to make it over there. I told her what I was looking for a she said they only had ONE apartment-- not what it said online and doesn't make since with the size of the property, but okay. She didn't even show me the one apartment or give me aspects or pricing. Just looked at me like 😒 So, I asked those things and if I could tour. She said I could schedule an app

DO NOT MOVE HERE! They give fines and lease violations like they’re nothing! I once got a violation for my TV being too loud & closing cabinet doors too loudly.. Angelica P. (Manager) is so rude and condescending! She uses her position in power to belittle and bully the tenants because she knows if we defend ourselves she can retaliate and make our living here miserable! They lied and said I had a “Move-in inspection“ but it was really just a ruse to get in my apartment and snoop around! For the first time in my life, I had to break the lease to keep my sanity which resulted in a bill of thousands of dollars. The entire staff has NO diversity so I began to feel like I was being targeted.. Also the apartment they showed me looked nothing like the apartment I actually moved into. They do not

Having toured over 15 complexes, I can say with certainty that my tour with Angelica at Cortland North Dallas was among the best. She stood out for her thoroughness and genuine helpfulness. She took the time to understand my needs, showed me every detail of the property, and was incredibly patient in answering all my questions. Her professional and warm demeanor made the entire process so much easier. I’m truly grateful for her assistance and highly recommend working with her.

Overall, we had a pretty negative experience with Cortland North Dallas. When i first moved in, James was the director of the location and was very kind, responsive and helpful. I ended up transferring to Cortland north dallas after the staff at their West Plano location gave me a unit that reeked of smoke, even though all Cortlands claim to be smoke free facilities. Anyways, Cortland North Dallas was a good place to live for a few months but once James left and management changed things went down hill. We had issues with staff ignoring our maintenance request for our dryer but marking them complete without even entering our unit. I brought up to Angelica that I could see on my doorbell camera that maintenance hadn’t even entered the unit, she said, “Doorbell cameras aren’t very accurate.
