Cortland Falls River

I just had a tour here, definitely the lowest tier on my list. Much was left to be desired. After getting a confirmation online, I was excited to view because I like the area. Upon arriving, there was a dead bird right in front of the door and the doors were locked. Finally someone came to open the door. Once inside, they were playing hip hop and rap musics with cursing... They said they could not find my appointment and said they must have scheduled the wrong day. They looked bothered to have to show me around, like I interrupted their day. I was not thrilled about the unprofessionalism from the leasing consultant Karen. When giving her my preferences to have a nature view from my patio, she rolled her eyes and shrugged. Tina Ham and her crew deserve a special shout-out for going above and beyond to be understanding and accommodating, and they actually know/interact with their residents in the office and at residential events! I'm generally not too impressed with apartment complexes, and none are immune to issues (the walls/floors here are thin, and sometimes there unsupervised kids running around and dogs off-leash), but out of all the places I've lived, my unit here and the office staff was my favorite.

This specific location is tremendously disorganized, uncommunicative, unprofessional, uncaring and not proactive when it comes to taking care of their potential tenants. I traveled with my wife and kids all the way from Florida to North Carolina all to receive news from the leasing agent that the apartment would not be ready on time. Whats crazy is the fact, the manager told me I could move in on the 17th of October. So on October 14th, I told her to send over the papers so I can sign the lease. She did and then not less than 5 minutes a leasing agent calls me and says the unit won’t be available till October 30th. The staff are all very friendly and always holding fun community events. The maintenance staff are very nice and responsive to requests. The grounds are pretty and the units are updated. Very friendly community. Fair rent pricing for the size of the space and amenities!

I had the best experience, I was living in Va and needed to secure a place to live for my upcoming transfer to Raleigh from Virginia, I, I wasn’t able to do a in person site visit so the staff on the property gave me a Virtual tour of the property and I signed the lease from Va and was able to begin working in the Raleigh branch the very next Monday. It was a very successful process and I’m pleased with the entire process.
