After reading these reviews from current and former residents with Cortland properties it assures me that what I’m experiencing is awful and recurring . I reach out to corporate to process a refund of a duplicate payment . I was assured they could help as long as I provided documents showing duplicate payment . After investigation and my financial institution reaching out to them they approved of the refund . Then slap me with a NSF Fee after an agreement of the refund with no penalty . You can only imagine my frustration . Several back and forth emails and live recording calls which you hear them stating my bank dispute the charges and which is why I see a NSF fee . Then after investigating my financial institution told me they did not dispute the charges . That the merchant Cortland

UPDATE 12/31/25: Cortland was NOT communicating with me. They communicated with my EX! Who’s not on this lease, never toured this community. Now my EX knows exactly where I live and that’s not ok. Cortland had completely violated my privacy and shared information with someone who was not on the lease, nor listed as an emergency contact. I think it’s time to consult an attorney as this arrogant company had been so difficult to deal with inlcluding being lied to by the home corporate office that my EX REQUESTED A COPY OF THE LEASE. Corporate said he never made the request. Yet the office staff at On Blake showed me the request was made 12/3/25! LIARS and manipulators that have a major lack of oversight to their properties. Our experience at Uptown Boca over the past several weeks has been extremely disappointing, primarily due to the lack of professionalism, communication, and timely action from both on-site management and corporate. What we have been dealing with is not a minor inconvenience—it affects safety, accessibility, and basic habitability. Residents should not be paying full rent when Cortland Uptown Boca cannot deliver the “luxury” experience it advertises. We are now approaching five weeks without safe, fully functional elevators, and we still have no update on when the repairs will actually be completed.
