Since the management company changed, the quality of this building has declined significantly. The pool was closed for the entire summer under the excuse of “maintenance,” and now management is actually removing the pool altogether — without any prior communication to residents. This is unacceptable for an amenity that was actively advertised and part of what residents pay for. The gym, which is fully glass-enclosed with no windows, had no air conditioning throughout the entire summer, making it impossible to use. Now, in the middle of winter, the gym is closed again due to renovations of the penthouse. Elevators are frequently out of service for months at a time, creating constant inconvenience and accessibility issues. On top of that, the building is renovating all apartments, result

Many residents have moved out after Cortland became the management company. The company spends a lot of their resource remodeling their current apartments, common areas and attracting new tenants and not looking after their current residents. Disruptions are frequent. They have swapped out door knobs, replaced thresholds, and repainted the doors. It would have been helpful for them to do everything at once but they came at least four to five different times over a span of weeks, each time they had to prop the door open for about two hours. The frequent drilling noise that comes with remodeling will drive a normal person crazy. They hand out nice promotions to new tenants, but look around before moving in. Many apartments nearby offer similar or better amenities at comparable prices

I have now been living here at Park at Pentagon Row for one full year now, and I can honestly say it’s been an enjoyable year! I picked this place amongst all other apartments in this area ( believe me, I have visited majority of them), because it felt like home and a great family! I am always treated with respect and welcomed with a friendly smile especially by Katrina Clark. The maintenance crew will get the job done immediately! The parking, mini mart, gym, pool, and the amenities/events are suitable for all of your needs!! You can’t beat the location ( near metro, mall, restaurants, and work). I truly enjoy coming home to a nice and quiet place. The other residents are friendly and respectful of you and the property. I never had any problems since I have been living here. I feel ver

Do not move here. Ever since Cortland took over, it’s a nightmare. Like others have said, there’s constant loud construction to the point that I can’t hear coworkers on Zoom calls when the volume on my computer is all the way up. It’s incredibly disruptive and so loud I get headaches. They’ve closed all the amenities that we pay for so we aren’t able to use the pool, fitness center, or anything else we’ve paid for. Who knows when they’ll be accessible again since the pool has been closed for months and they haven’t started. Their alternative is being able to use amenities in a building about a mile away. It’s such a joke since there’s no parking, is inconvenient, and now overcrowded. Management will literally tell you they don’t have time to respond to your call but somehow have time to

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This building was fine prior to it being purchased by Cortland. They raised the rent by $300+ a month when the building is outdated and amenities are severely lacking compared to other apartments in this area charging less. Their elevators are constantly down - expect to wait up to 15 minutes to be able to get to the parking garage. The freight elevator was down for over a month, and they did not communicate to residents with scheduled move out dates. Gym AC was constantly out, the pool is outdated and wasn't available for residents this entire summer. Their leasing office was terrible during my lease renewal/move out process. Didn't provide any lease renewal rate sheets, reached out a week after my notice date to tell me they can only renew for 4 months (I didn't noti
