Cortland at Fredericksburg

I don’t recommend this place. Initially, it was a pleasant location as it’s in proximity to many popular spots. However, the leadership has become increasingly difficult to comply with safety measures. My bedroom was broken into by a homeless man; he jumped into my bed and attempted to steal and injure my roommate. I had gone to the leasing office in past months to discuss concerns regarding the homelessness situation as they keep the garbage gate open. They did very little effort to fix the issue. This is not a great place to live in - homeless folks live in the property at night. The rent goes up every year with poor protection and/or safety measures.

When confronted with the daunting task of temporarily relocating from El Paso to San Antonio for medical purposes, I felt overwhelmed and uncertain about where to begin. I was in search of an affordable, serene, and wheelchair-accessible haven, preferably close to University of Texas Medical Center, that would provide a safe sanctuary for myself, my grandbaby and daughter By divine providence, one day after numerous doctor appointments, we stumbled upon Cortland Apartments. We were immediately captivated by their stunning landscaping and warmly greeted by the courteous office staff. To our surprise, we were able to tour an array of model apartments, each offering a range of room options and sizes, with or without garages, upstairs or downstairs. Kristen, the assistant manager at the apartment complex, is truly amazing. She’s professional, friendly, and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Her communication is clear and timely, and she genuinely cares about residents having a good experience. Any time I’ve interacted with her, she’s been efficient, knowledgeable, and positive. Kristen is a huge asset to the property. Thank you Kristen!!!

I’ve been living in this community for a while, and it is so nice that they have a leadership change! Everyone in the office is so friendly and assists at getting things done! I have had good experiences with them all, most recently with Kristen. Thank you all for working so hard at making this apartment feel like home!

Living at Cortland in San Antonio has been a wonderful experience. The community is always clean and well-maintained, which makes it feel welcoming from the moment you step in. The maintenance team is quick and reliable, resolving any issues without delay, and the office staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about residents. The amenities are another big plus—whether it’s the fitness center, pool, or common areas, everything is modern and kept in great condition. It really adds to the comfort and convenience of living here. What I enjoy most is the peaceful atmosphere, the community itself feels quiet and relaxing.
