I recently had the pleasure of working with Trevor Barrocas at Cornerstone R-E Management Inc in Pasadena while helping a friend rent a place. Trevor was outstanding, he is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the rental process, especially given my friend’s delicate case. He was not only incredibly professional and patient, but he also walked us through all the available options, ensuring that my friend understood every step. I couldn’t recommend Cornerstone and Trevor more highly—they truly made a complicated process feel seamless and manageable.

I have been a tenant in one of their properties for almost a year now. Communication with everyone in their offices has always been clear and cordial. They have responded to my maintenance requests within a couple of hours and they have followed up to make sure my situation has been resolved. The property's public areas are well maintained and cleaned frequently. I am a very pleased and happy tenant.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cornerstone Real Estate Management. I submitted a maintenance request for a dishwasher leak. While waiting for the technician, I did my best to glue the gasket and managed to stop the leak myself. When the technician arrived, he confirmed that my repair worked, there was no leak, and no additional work was needed. Despite this, Cornerstone still charged me for the service call — without informing me beforehand that I would be billed if there was no repair. This feels dishonest and unfair. As a tenant, I expect transparency and basic respect, but instead, I was penalized for proactively fixing the issue myself. Have been a tenant for over a year. The new property manager Trevor Barrocas is very difficult to deal with: (a) going back on his own words on 2 occasions; (b) constantly delaying in communications via all channels; (c) aggressive cost-cutting on maintenance (relying heavily on their general contractor as opposed to vendor-out as needed).

Our family worked with Dennis Barrocas and his Cornerstone R-E Management team for nearly two decades. We deeply appreciate their professionalism, expertise, honesty, overall attention to detail and consistent follow-through. Dennis and his Team treat our tenants with dignity and respect while also managing our interests well. They work closely with us when any major decisions are required by clearly presenting available options, and by offering clear and objectively stated professional advice.
