Every single interaction with Roy and his office left us with a headache. We emailed our move-out notice to the e-mail address they provided us and got no response. We called multiple times (during business hours!) and got voicemail every time. Left messages, and still no response for weeks. After calling for the nth time, I suspected they were screening our calls, so I called from another number and they picked up immediately, even though they had ignored our call 30 seconds prior. When we dropped off our keys, they claimed they didn’t know anything about the email and had “lost” it. We were supposed to get our security deposit back within 30 days, according to our lease, but it ended up taking *four months* and constant harassing on our part. Leaving a new review because my old one won’t show up. Not sure how but oh well. As I said in the last review. Roy (owner of this company) refuses to fix my apartment. I have found mold in my house, my fridge is broken and they broke into my apartment because “they couldn’t find the basement” there have been times the heat didn’t work so I sat in a house at 30 degrees. They’ve given me nothing but problems and claim I’m not paying rent however the government is paying through the form of “erap” which will pay all of the rent. They just want to find some reason to not do their job. They are lazy. I have called Roy on multiple occasions and he refuses to do his job. He is scamming the people who use his services. Roy is great and the team at Conerstone. The apartment I rented from them was amazing in downtown Poughkeepsie. The maintenance was great. I highly recommend their services.

What a disaster. Roy created far more work for us than if we'd done it ourselves, opened us to potential legal harm by insisting on a scheme that would have violated local ordinances and couldn't handle basic accounting. Roy yelled at us, sent harassing messages in ALL CAPS, threatened to hold onto our final rent check and basically tormented us until we sought legal advice. It was a complete, unadulterated nightmare but we were locked into some ridiculous contract with him that looked like it was drawn up in the 1700’s. Roy couldn’t manage his way out of a paper box and can’t really even muster basic adulting. I'd rather have the kid from HOME ALONE manage the house. Also, FYI, Roy’s office manager (and the only competent person there) is named Samantha Peña—which explains the five star

Worst property managers I’ve ever dealt with. They refuse to do any work to your apartment and won’t give you the number to the landlord to report them. They are scammers. DO NOT use them if you are a property owner
