Copperleaf Apartments

I wish I was able to leave a 0/5 review for this apartment complex. I was a respectful, and responsible tenant of copperleaf for over 2 years with no late payment's. When moving out I was charged $185.00 in addition to the complex keeping my entire security deposit of $975.00. I was charged so much because they stated the apartment was a complete “repaint” a 700 square foot apartment. Please see the video on YouTube of the apartment when we moved out 7257 Homeview Lane Apartment 306. The person videoing stated “water marks”, “drip marks”, and “scuff marks” required every wall and door to be repainted. Correct me if I’m wrong but 1. That is normal wear and tear and 2. Water marks and drip marks should have been taken care of and covered by the $135.00 cleaning fee the apartment charges. I h

Good location and overall nice apartments. The property manager is absolutely awful to deal with. She is condescending and nasty even if you are a good tenant (your rent is always on time/early, and you cause no issues). Beware of asking her any sort of questions. Also if you have any issues with your apartment that are out of your control that you may need maintenance it will take weeks if not months to get the issue addressed. Too bad such nice apartments have to be ruined by awful management.

Apartment review: Positives - pet friendly - plenty of parking - pool onsite - cute patios - okay walking areas - good location Negatives - pool is not heated - lots of dogs not all of them well behaved - snow removal/ice treatment is awful, my daughter and I slipped multiple times, also one day cars couldn’t even get up the small hill, when brought as an issue they were annoyed. - only got $300 back of deposit because they said they had to repaint the whole space. - manager is not very nice, she sends out emails that are mostly warning us of towing or extra charges. - not sure the last time the gutters were cleaned, water comes down everywhere and makes a mess on ground floor with the mulch.

This place is only concerned about making as much money as possible by squeezing its tenants dry. From extra charges for regular maintenance calls to charging insane fees when you leave. My husband and I paid a very large security deposit for move in and a dog and a cat. We left the place very clean with minor wear and tear. (Our animals are well behaved). On top of taking our ENTIRE deposits they are now trying to charge us almost $1,000 extra! I mean unless they’re paying someone $4,000 to “clean carpets” (which we already did) and replace a blind I’m just not sure what their intention is other than to squeeze every last cent they can out of us. Beware…….

Nice apartments, good neighborhood. Poor response to tenant maintenance. It took a solid week to get a refrigerator working again. Freezer was working but fan was not so fridge was at 60 degrees for a week. All perishable food had to be thrown out. To make matters worse, no credit for lost food. The first day all maintenance did was move stuff around in the freezer and left a note saying they would check back the next day - why not later that day? Why not get a repair person on call right away? Then a lack of communication between maintenance and the repair person caused further delay that I had to resolve myself to even get a part ordered. I'm sure that if this were an issue that could have damaged the property, like a water leak or such, the reaction time would have been much be
