Colony of San Marcos

This is my closet after it rained and water seeped in. This is the third time this has happened. I called the emergency 4 times. Was told that someone would come out. No one showed up. Between this and other maintenance issues, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

This is a great apartment complex. It’s clean, renovated in a modern way, spacious, and most importantly, it’s really affordable for what our budget was. The location is near everything and the only thing I have to complain about is the few “shadier” people I’ve encountered but that’s not exclusive to this apartment in particular so I won’t knock them for it. The staff were all extremely friendly, flexible, and down-to-earth and that was very helpful when we needed to call them for anything. They were a major reason why we decided to lease here and we couldn’t beat the price for how nice the apartment was.

When I first moved in to the complex, everything was running smoothly. We had great management and she was very attentive. Ever since we got new management, we have had "boiler" issues about 7 times now and the hot water is always messing up. Besides that, work orders can take a while to be completed, fortunately I haven't had any emergency work orders. It's a good place, but they need to get it together with their water problems.

it seems to be hit or miss for people but here’s my experience. i moved in january and was not allowed to be shown the apartment for some reason. it was weird but i didn’t think about it too much. i’m a teen mother escaping from a toxic household, so i didn’t have the time to look around much anymore. when i moved in there were roaches crawling all over the walls, in my clothes, crawling out of sockets. i’m a very clean person, so this was shocking to me. i let her (manager) take her time and try to get rid of the roaches, and she ended up just moving me to a different apartment, causing a split between me and my roommates. the second apartment i was moved into was good until i realized there was another roach infestation here, coming from the apartments surrounding us. which is truly disg

Anyone saying that this place is quiet is a fake review or they're deaf. It's literally right next to a major road. The only thing you hear at all times are mustangs and trucks gunning it up and down the road and non-stop sirens. It's maddening. It never stops! The Colony is, without a doubt, the WORST place that I have EVER lived. The water seems to be shut off every second Tuesday and third Thursday, and even in that rare moment that you have water - it bounces between hot and cold more often than not. My car has been broken into, as well as multiple other people. It would probably be helpful if they ever turned any of the perimeter lights on, but nahhh. The pool has been murky and green since the day I moved in. That was a year ago... Oh! And the laundry room. Ha ha ha ha. What a j
