Colonie East Apartments

The parking sucks here. You never can get a spot remotely close to your apartment and there are no lines for the spots so everyone parks like an idiot and leaves 3/4 of a car space to the side of them, making it impossible to park anywhere. If you have kids, go to the grocery store or have any issues that require closer parking, this will not be the place for you. Also there are no handicapped spots anywhere despite not having assigned parking or reserved spots for people with accessibility issues. And half the buildings can’t even be parked in front of or next to. Whoever built this place hates tenants. E/A: 2/4/25 - I’ve been here all winter and they suck at plowing. My daughter and I have lived here for 5+ years and it’s been brilliant. Kaitlyn as management is always helpful with anything we need, she is the backbone of the place. Just as important is the maintenance team that have been 100% helpful and available for any needs. Anything for us has been fixed quick and I trust them all. Safe area, kid friendly, nice amenities with a big pool, tennis and pickle ball courts and lots of lawn to play. North Colonie School districts so Shaker middle and High School. And the school bus stop is in eye distance close. It’s quiet and friendly and the best part is all the staff who run it here are great. I have lived in Colonie East Apartments for quite a long time and i must say that the office manager, Kaitlyn, is by far the best that they have had to date! She is extremely helpful and has gone out of her way to assist me several times. Due to an addition to my family i needed to move to a larger apartment. Kaitlyn was able to show me a couple of apartments and i was able to pick the one I really wanted! She assured me that the apartment would be ready for me to move in the following month and it was.I am so grateful that she is the first point of contact when I need assistance! Absolutely love Colonie East. Kaitlyn is always so friendly and accommodating for any type of moving needs. Apartments are cozy and spacious. Amenities are awesome - and they allow pets! Maintenance guys are phenomenal and always so nice.

I have not lived here, as lack of in unit laundry and garages were a deal breaker for my wife. However, the Property Manager Kaitlyn deserves 5 stars. Professional. Helpful. On top of every step. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, but it was just a no go for my wife.
