When everything is fine, it's fine. When it's not, it's most definitely not. I rented a 5 bedroom house in the neighborhood of Eastwood (Golf Community) last August and was quite excited about moving from our apartment in Gainesville, FL. Early interactions were good and we were able to move-in on the day we preferred which was great. When we arrived at the house, it was immediately clear that it hadn't been professionally cleaned and in fact, the previous residents had left a number of items in the kitchen cabinets (bread maker, pots, pans, etc...). Very bad!!!! We looked at a house at the end of June, liked it so we did the application process, then gave a deposit and signed a lease. We were going to move in Aug 1st. (we found the house early because house go quick near UCF as Aug approaches). We sent David several emails asking him if we could see the house to take a few measurements, he did not respond to any of the 5 emails. We made several calls and left voice mail. No response. I did get a hold of him on the phone one time when he told me he was having some issues with the owner and he would call back at the end of the day. 2 days latter and 2 emails latter i get a response from him tell me the owner needs to get a letter to the bank assuring the house was not in foreclosure.
