After we sold our first Coastal Cypress custom home and planned the build of our second, there was no doubt or hesitation that we were going to have Coastal Cypress build our second. Steve has incredible relationships within his business and was able to deliver another top notch custom on time and on budget. Communication was always on point, expectations were always set, and Steve has mastered this process. For us, we wouldn't recommend any other builder in the Coastal NC area. BUYER BEWARE - Our experience has fallen far short of high-quality craftsmanship, effective oversight of subcontractors, professional project management and is unacceptable for a custom build at this price point. Securing follow-up service for warranty repairs has been an ongoing struggle. Many problems involve workmanship deficiencies that should have been corrected promptly after subcontractor install while others fall under the builder’s warranty obligations. Examples include: * Floors that have deflected my more than 1.0” inch * Upper kitchen cabinets installed at inconsistent heights * Millwork that has left gaps in almost all of the window/door frame corners and non-mitered floor molding. * Primary bathroom countertops that were intended to be symmetrical but are uneven * A wall that

After contacting several builders at the Bluffs on the Cape Fear, we chose to build with Coastal Cypress Building Company because of their attention to details for a custom home. Communication was key throughout the build process because we were living in Maryland.
