I wanted to wait a few months before I posted my experience with moving into Briagate. I rented my place starting in June 2025, and I must say Shameka was awesome in assisting me into finding the right unit to fit my needs. I was shown several units prior to picking my current rental. Her knowledge of the property and the area was very helpful. The leasing process was as smooth and straightforward, they worked with me on my move in date. I’m currently a law student and have lived at the Senate Plaza property for almost 3 years. My lease ends July 31 and I decided not to renew it since I’m moving after graduation. They recently sent me a lease renewal offer and I politely declined it because of the before mentioned move. I planned to pay rent throughout my current leases term until July 31. However, what they didn’t tell me is that as soon as I state I’m not renewing my lease, they would start scheduling tours whenever they wanted to for my unit with all my personal and private property in it. Regardless of if I’m home. They began scheduling tours within days of me submitting my move out notice (wish they were this on the ball with fixing the elevators). This is legal under SC law, but insanely shitty to me as a tenant of 3
