My experience with C-Star Insurance during the mortgage process with CLM Mortgage has been extremely disappointing, and I feel future customers deserve to know what I went through. When I purchased my home, I was required to obtain homeowners insurance through an agent—Evan Miller at C-Star Insurance—in order to close with CLM Mortgage. He signed me up with Progressive to meet the closing requirements. Since then, my mortgage has been sold multiple times—from CLM’s side, then to Shellpoint, and now to AmeriHome—which has created confusion at every step. Where things really fell apart was with the insurance policy itself. In my experience, Evan Miller did not respond to Progressive’s inquiries regarding cancellation and expiration. CLM, more specifically Ms. Nieesha and her team were beyond excellent. They took me on an unfamiliar journey (home loan process) and really held my hand through it all. Ms. Nieesha was very patient with me and also assured me which says alot about her professionalism and compassion towards her clients. I personally applaud the team for the great work they provide and recommend anyone looking to secure a home to come see this team.

I enjoyed working with this company as a whole, I worked with a lot of amazing people from the sales rep Alex to the loan manager Kevin. We were a little apprehensive after a recent experience we luckily backed out of and gave us the chance to work with the amazing Aimee McCauley. She truly was our saving grace because she answered all our questions without hesitation and made sure we 100% were clear on all aspects of our processing. Closing on our dream home was a breeze due to all the attention to detail and making sure everything was double-checked, we had zero issues and can't keep their names out of our mouths!
