Clintonville Commons Apartments

Lived in a 1 Bedroom unit for a little over 2 years. The units are a little on the small size, but for the price and location it's well worth it. Just be warned - if you rent a 1 bedroom unit, the A/C is located in the living room and has trouble getting cold air into the bedroom due to its placement. If you live on the third floor like I did, be prepared for some unbearably hot summer nights. Get yourself a box fan or two.

Leisha was the epitome of what an apartment manager should be. She was very courteous and very professional. I have tremendous respect for her abilities and the fact that she treated me, a Deaf man with the ultimate courtesy and helped me to understand things. I wish more people would follow her example and be at one with everything. The apartment itself was very clean and the maintenance of it was beyond the scope of what most apartments would experience. I would recommend it absolutely.

went to go tour an apartment with my mom and no one showed up after 10 minutes. we scheduled it and it was confirmed and everything, and when we tried to call the building no one answered. i don’t know if this place thinks they’re so great to be unreachable or what, but they wasted our time.

Lived here for two years in a one-bedroom unit. THE GOOD: Location means so much in real estate, and it would be tough to place an apartment in a better location than Clintonville Commons. You're less than a mile from two different grocery stores, within easy walking distance of Whetstone Park and several restaurants, and surrounded by a great (and expensive) neighborhood. It’s not often you hear glowing praise about a landlord, either, but the management is excellent; Leisha does a great job in the front office. The apartments are pretty old, but well-maintained; you will have to call maintenance from time to time, but they respond quickly and do a good job. Ground floor units have super cheap utilities. They also have terrible cell phone reception, but you can enable WiFi calling on you

Very racist place. Super segregated city with fake progressives who claim to support minorities but won’t dare go to the other side of 71 to contribute and give back. Applied here and was told I was approved but my gf wasn’t, said they were going to get approval from management. Kept my app and admin fee and never heard back. Bad impression of the city. Also a lot of car break ins, theft, and poverty. Definitely don’t recommend for minorities. PA is better.
