We’ve now been in our Classic Cottages home for just over a year, and we couldn’t be happier with both the process and the finished product. From the very beginning, they delivered on every promise. After a nightmare experience with a previous builder who completely dropped the ball, to say the least. Classic Cottages stepped in and showed us what true professionalism looks like. We signed our contract in September 2023, and by the end of December they had permits ready. We're 90 days in and we're (1) 95% thrilled with the home, (2) 110% very happy with the post-purchasing process and warranty team. For #1, that's been things that the city has imposed on the builder and a few design choices that could be improved on. But that's minimal - really, Classic Cottages have been incredible to work with from purchase to now. Definitely a large part of that impression comes from the warranty manager, Glenn, so big kudos to him for leaving a fantastic impression. But I've spoken with everyone from affiliated trades to the COO and folks are just down-to-earth, good people doing good work.

Typical greedy developer in Arlington Va. They cut down 8 mature trees on a lot at 629 N Monroe in Arlington slated for so called missing middle development. To be built are "affordable" 3 townhomes at 1.9mm each. All trees were healthy 100+ y.o. canopy trees. Most trees were in setbacks where they can't build anyways. So it was all just for parking and driveway to satisfy county zoning. They also had the gull to offer a neighbor to "help" cut large live oak tree on their property so they can "expand parking". The lot now sits barren for two years overgrown with weeds 5 feet high spreading weed seed and pollen all around. Avoid this company they are defacing Arlington for the sake of own enrichment with no regard for environmental impact.

I don't see many reviews for Classic Cottages focused on their home purchases/acquisitions so I thought I'd write one. In short, we approached Classic Cottages to sell our home in Alexandria, VA since we were relocating locally (bigger house). Charles was our primary POC (Acquisitions Manager) and was great to work with--totally transparent, responsive, and made sure everything stayed on track for the deal to close. The Title Company we worked with was also great; no issues throughout the closing process and we closed on time. If you live in their service area and are considering selling your house (especially if it's a small/knock-down/rebuild situation)--all I can say is Classic Cottages is a stand-up company and was great to work with! (just to be clear, that is NOT the case with all th
