We built our house with Osward Clark last year. We knew Oz through a friend, who hired him to build their house a couple of years ago and highly recommended Oz. We met with Oz a few times to discuss our plan before signing the construction contract with him. From the very beginning, we really felt that we can put our full trust on him. Building a custom house is a long and complicate process. It requires a lot of knowledge on every aspect of construction and a lot of coordination with different contractors, engineers and township officials. I never thought I would be more pleased with my home than the last one you built for my family. You truly outdid yourself. I especially wanted to thank you for going above and beyond what a contractor normally does. Your consideration on working within our budget, made such a difference. I never felt that you took advantage of us, and appreciate the fact that you allowed us to be fairly credited for changes and modifications. We were disappointed with the building experience. While there are pros and cons of each transaction, in this case, the cons far outweighed the pros. Oz Clark, the proprietor, is detail oriented, has a good understanding of traditional construction methods, and is hands-on on the site. However, his customer service skills are limited, he did not complete the contractual punch list, nickel and dimed at every opportunity, and pretty much disappeared after taking the final payment, leaving us to finish thousands worth of work on our own. ***after seeing the review, the builder texts me to say he will write unfavorably about me on this review...just furthers my point on customer service.
