Concerns Regarding Clark Bros Rental Move-Out and Charges Hello, I’m a former tenant of Clark Bros Rental. I recently moved out due to PCS orders to a new duty station. I provided a month and a half’s notice along with a copy of my orders. Despite this, I was charged a full month’s rent even though I only lived in the property for 15 days. I was told that “pro-rated rent doesn’t exist,” which doesn’t make sense. Another issue was the carpet. It was not professionally cleaned when we moved in, yet we were told it had to be professionally cleaned upon moving out because of a supposed Texas law—something I’ve never heard of. Hello everyone, I can honestly say that my husband and I have never had a bad experience renting—until now. This rental property is a complete scam. The first year wasn’t too bad, but the second year took a very different turn. We ended up living next to neighbors who caused constant problems from the start—issues with parking, trash cans, and loud noise throughout the day. It felt like they had no consideration for anyone living nearby. I truly feel bad for any new residents who will have to deal with that level of stress. If I could give this property office a zero, I absolutely would. Unfortunately, the lowest option available is one star, but in my opinion, they deserve none. So we just moved in about a month ago. A lot of things weren’t checked. For instance, the plate in the microwave is broken, luckily we don’t use the microwave all that often but something that should have been checked/ fixed. Our refrigerator was also broken and wouldn’t cool, we lost a bit of food from that and took quite awhile to get someone out to look at it (2-3 days). Now, and the real reason for writing the post, our water heater went out/ won’t light. I’d really like to call and put a work order in but it’s Saturday. They are closed and don’t have an emergency number. So now I have to wait till Monday to even file a work order. I currently use them to manage my property and they are extremely responsive and attentative. Very professional and reliable. Their very specific and open when communicating on requirements and standards which I love knowing I'm in good hands. I am about to close on my second home sadly it's out of town but I do plan to return to El Paso and buy more homes. I know which Company I will be relying on to manage it!
