City & Suburban Leasing Office

I lived in one of their buildings, 230 East 78th Street, for one year, and that was one year too many. The building was a dump. I had leaks coming out of my ceiling in both the kitchen and the bathroom, and they never fixed them. The drywall literally ripped open, and I ended up living with a hole in my ceiling for the entire year. I called the super and the company repeatedly, begging for someone to come fix it, and nobody ever came. We also had a homeless person sleeping in the vestibule on a regular basis because the door to the street never locked. More than once I had to call the police just to get out of my building. The trash area was filthy, just tossed into the courtyard between their two buildings, with rats and all kinds of disgusting activity. It was totally unsanitary. Their

Lived here for 4 months before I had to break my lease due to the buildings inability to solve the mice infestation inside the apartment. After (sadly) catching 7 mice on glue traps, living with the entire kitchen covered in glue traps, racking up $5,000 in veterinarian bills due to the illness the mice caused to my dogs (I’ve chosen to leave the bloody dog poop photos off this review), I chose to leave the lease early. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a soul. 0/5 Stars.

Avoid at all costs, this is one of the worst management companies I have ever dealt with. Totally unethical and their apartments have multiple violations.

Very poor Building maintenance. dusty floors are visible in the stairwell / and hallways of the building. Management office is not professional , when making requests for repairs there is always delays and their reason is always due to staffing. Laundry room ALWAYS has issues and takes weeks for the machines to work - do not recall a time where all machines work at once.

We’re going on our second year of leasing an apartment from them. No complaints at all. Anytime we need something fixed, a maintenance guy comes that same day to fix it. The guys working in the leasing office are incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this complex as a great place to live!
