Chicago Title

You SERIOUSLY do NOT want Chicago Title handling the title on your home purchase! They delay the process RIDICULOUSLY, you will end up getting your home DAYS after you were supposed to, despite your doing everything required of you on a timely basis. AVOID IF YOU CAN!

If you're closing on a house whatever you do use a different title company. I don't support any particular one but just don't use this one. I closed on a house last year and did not want to use this title company although the seller picked it and I had no choice. Initially I thought it went pretty well. But two days after closing I was handed paperwork on additional land that I apparently owned. I sent it to my realtor who sent it over to Kristy the manager of this office who told me yes we did own more land and it was being recorded. After a while it never showed up on the GIS mapping system. So I called to find out she showed me there was two parcels on the deed. Very pleasant and informative. Closing options were a plus and transparency upfront was a nice addition. Would recommend and wouldn't think twice about using Chicago in the future.

Our closing process was unpleasant to say the least. During signing, Chicago Title staff made us feel that it was a bother for them to provide us with the service we paid for. I admire and recommend businesses who treats everyone with respect as their practice... unfortunately, this is not one of those businesses
