Chicago Title

I have closed 100+ transactions with Chicago Title. Blessed to have Patrick, Rebecca, Kelly and Tyler always return our emails, calls etc in a timely manner. Thank you for another great year, our clients really appreciate it.

Wow where do I start. My closing was over 3.5 hours ago and Chicago Title is unwilling to provide me with my Federal Reference # for a very large wire. I cannot believe they are in a fiduciary capacity. The closing agent (Chicago Title) supposedly sent the wire over three hours ago but the wire is still supposedly “processing.” I was put on hold multiple times for a very long time, after being told only the accounting department can provide Federal Reference #’s. Ironically, the hold music talks about the dangers of wire fraud for home buyers and sellers and how you need to be extremely vigilant after a wire has been sent. I still don't have any confirmation the funds were sent and the buyer was given the keys to the house three hours ago. Now I am going to file a complaint with the

I only gave them 1 star, because it wouldn't let me rate any lower. these people are crooks. added charges to our closing that came to about $300, and they neglected to inform us until the day before closing. I would have refused. The only reason we closed is because our realtor covered these charges. Manager got real nasty when I refused the charges. if you are closing and you have a choice, refuse to deal with Chicago Title Company.

Padded recording fees, erroneous charges due to a common last name, many errors on closing documents, charged buyer for title insurance in which she had refused (but she still wanted to close so she didn't protest). This is a predatory company. I will not deal with them or the real estate agency that uses them Star One in the future. The sale would have died at the table had my realtor not taken a financial hit at closing.

Chicago Title is and will always be my preferred title company. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and closings go off without a hitch. If you want the best, don’t use anyone else.
