Absolutely the worse. They have bylaws yet refuse to act. Can't even get out of my driveway because they do not enforce parking. For 3 years I have complained about my neighbor having 5 dogs that bark and howl at all hours...again they do nothing. This company does not actually care about the homeowners on any level!! Sooo wish I had researched them better before purchasing my townhouse!!

I've lived in my neighborhood since 2005 and was with another management company for most of those years. I never had any issues with being able to contact their customer service. Since Chesapeake Bay Management has taken over, I've attempted on numerous occasions to contact them to let them know my bank account information had changed. I need to provide new information for my automatic withdrawals for my association fee. No one ever answers and when I leave a message, no one returns my call. Today I called at 4:38 pm and although it says they close at 5pm, the message said our offices are closed. Now I am being charged NSF fees and late fees because they won't answer their phone. This is ridiculous.

This incident posed a significant challenge for me and my 11-month-old daughter, as we heavily rely on our vehicle for transportation, especially with the constraints of managing two households due to childcare arrangements in Virginia Beach. I own a rental property in New Denbrook Station, and this company has managed the HOA there for years. It's been awful. We have a prisitine townhouse that is hands-down the best maintained in the complex, yet we get a notice each time there is a tiny bit of mildew on our firewall. Meanwhile, ALL the neighbors have places that look like they are falling down. Ours is freshly painted even though it wasn't bad before, and the others are nearly black from mold and are clearly allowed to continue this way. They also have allowed a junk car to be parked in front of my property for years... flat tires, rusted out eyesore that has not been driveable for at least 5 years. My mother has a property managed by Chesapeake Bay Management. I assist my mother, as she is quite elderly. These people at this company are absolutely clueless. This is a bureaucratic, unhelpful organization that sends out a gazillion emails in addition to making everything more difficult than it needs to be. I see why they have a low overall rating.
