Check-In Charleston

Great family or couples home in the heart of Charlestons restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Everything you might want is walkable from the house. If you want to cook on the kitchen is well stocked and has great appliances. Nice porches and garden area seating. Would stay here again and recommend it to others. Darryl

Location is the most ideal component of this place, otherwise I'd seek other accommodations. The apartment was ok at best. There was a nasty musty smell which you had to empty the dehumidifier up to 3 times a day to attempt to keep the odor at bay. Roaches, lots of them and some were very large running all over the floors, which were also not very clean saw many dead roaches in the corners and under chairs. There was some mild mold on some walls as well. The communication was very prompt and clear. The wifi was terrible and didn't reach the bedroom when it did work

Location was the only good thing I can say. Remotes for tv's needed new batteries as 2 out of 3 didn't work. You can hear and feel every noisy footstep above your head. The refrigerator door ice and water dispenser didn't work. One of the bathrooms hand held showers didn't work and there was no place to put shampoo or soap in the shower except on the floor. Door handles on kitchen cabs felt grungy. Way over priced for what you get! Will return to Charleston but not staying here. Inside washer needed wiping as left over size labels of clothes were stuck on the door.

The place itself was nice and well done on the inside but we had other issues… 1) When we arrived a car was sitting on the edge of the SHARED driveway so we could not park our car. I called the company and they were very nice on the phone about reaching out to the unit above ours to get them to move (because they were not in the unit) but it took 3 hours before they were able to move it. We had a ton of stuff to bring in so we circled the area for an HOUR until we finally got lucky and got a parking spot on the street close-ish. 2) I really hope that metal covering on the street is temporary because EVERY TIME a car drove by and over it it would make this loud “THUNK THUNK” sound…and while the rooms are in the back of the house you could clearly hear that noise through the night. The best place we’ve stayed in several trips to Charleston. Small carriage ride to Halls or steps away the high end shopping. The beds are super comfy and very clean. Perfect stay for 2 couples.
