Chauncey Property Management

I think it's great that Chauncey Property Management allows pets. It is hard to find apartments and LL that allow pets, which sucks. Pets our family members. So in that regard, they are terrific. There are areas they could improve upon. Such as responding sooner to maintenance requests than they do and although they hire people to cut the grass and plow the driveway, they are not people who take pride in a job well done or pay attention to detail. They definitely hired contractors that offer cheapest price. They are not the best at maintaining their properties either. Our driveway has needed repairs for the past 2 years and the dust and dirt that blows out of our heating vents is absolutely disgusting. The ducts probably haven't been cleaned in years. I've been renting here for 4+ years. They're always transparent and provide paperwork for everything. Scott has been more than lenient with rent, understanding our current struggles. Maintenance always responds in less than 24 hours and are courteous. They're also one of the few landlords that accept pets! It's nice to see abandoned buildings finally get put to good use. Will continue to rent from them.

3602 Retsof Road Apt #4. Terrible Management - Do NOT rent from this property management. Scott Chauncey is not a real Landlord, although he claims to be but he told me all he does is collect the money from tenants. I have proof, documents, screenshots. This building located at 3602 Retsof road is infested with mice and black mold. My bathrooms subfloor behind the shower was completely falling apart, the walls and the floor bow in the shower. There is black mold behind the linoleum shower that is from the 1900's, never been updated or replaced and they wonder why there is black mold and everything is falling apart. Have not been renting too long from Chauncy's but have had great experiences, very attentive to service calls, maintenance usually comes same day. Would recommend them to anyone

My experience with Chauncey Property Management has been entirely positive. The few minor issues I reported through the convenient management portal were handled promptly and without hassle.
