My wife and I received an offer on our home in Mt. Pleasant and decided to build our dream home in Awendaw, we found ourselves needing to find a rental for our large family and were fortunate to find a home in Beresford Hall managed by Steve Smith and Charleston Metro Homes. We have never been renters before and didn't know what to expect but they have been wonderful to work with. Any issue we have had has been addressed within 24hrs, Steve or someone from his team always responds immediately to any request or concern. The house is well taken care of and managed and we are lucky to have found them!

Do not rent from Charleston Metro Homes. They are crooks and will completely take advantage of you as the renter and keep your security deposit. They only look out for the owners and unfairly bill renters. I repeat do not ever rent property through this company. This was a horrendous experience for my husband and I. We received a property that was in poor condition on move in day and were expected to leave it in better condition then we received it and billed for the owners shortfalls.

Charleston Metro Homes Real Estate has managed my property for over 15 years. Steve and his team are true professionals and care for my property as if it was their own. As a property mansgement professional for 35 years, I can truly appreciate the efforts CMH take in managing my property.

Charleston Metro Homes manages our Eastside home and we are always impressed by their professionalism and expertise. For many years, we have depended on the team at CMH for timely and informative communication, fast, effective, and appropriate response to maintenence, tenant concerns, and replacement/repair issues, and a level of professionalism that is consistently above and beyond expectations. Steve smith was our landlord and would take 2-3 weeks to return any of our requests and when he would answer he would snap at us blaming us for everything. I have never seen this kind of behavior in a “landlord”. He never wanted to help and if he was asked to because that is his job he would send nasty emails and texts. He is very unprofessional and will try to scam you for every dime and penny. If I could rate his behavior a zero I would. Don’t use this company Or him.
