Century Plaza Apartments

Reposted from my Casa Marfil review, since that’s what they rebranded as in 2025: The only two positive things I can say are that the rent is tolerable and the property manager (NOT the management G&B, specially the manager Tiaunna) are responsive to maintenance needs. I’m writing this to warn about the units—they’re “renovated”, sure, but are still quite run down, we’ve filed probably over 15 work orders in the month we’ve lived here, and on top of that we have a rat problem. The management remain convinced there is no rat infestation, but it took them a WHOLE MONTH to deal with our first rat problem despite us reporting it within the first week or so of moving in. units are severely overpriced, overcharges for water utility. continually cockroach infested, have had bed bugs multiple times from communal laundry. water and air conditioning are guaranteed to not work for multiple days in a row every month. property poorly maintained. building has been condemned in the past for structural problems. black mold is present. doors and windows are not sealed properly and allow bugs inside during night. **Disappointing Experience with Lease Credit Issue and Property Management** I am writing this review to share my ongoing frustration with Century Plaza's management and overall property maintenance. When I renewed my lease in October 2024, I did so under a special offer provided by the previous management. The offer included a credit that was supposed to be applied to my account. However, despite providing all necessary proof and following up multiple times, the current management has disregarded the previous management's agreement and claims the credit was already applied—yet no proof has been provided, and my statements clearly show the credit is missing. I think I may not be able to give it one star. So, I moved in, and the next day, I saw bedbugs in my apartment. I asked them to move me to another apartment, and they did. But here is not the end of the story. The apartment has mold in the bathroom and mold in the kitchen sink. I did not have hot water in my apartment for a week. Also, I am paying $8 a month for past control; after requesting multiple times, they never did a single past control. HVAC problems most of the time, as well as water licking issues. This was the worst experience in my life, and I was just able to survive 3 months. I just moved out. Before you consider moving in, think about the serious issue.
