Century Ariva

This is my first experience living in an apartment. I’ve had 2 minor AC issues and on BOTH occasions, the issue was handled in less than a day and I was given tips for future reference. The clubhouse and pool area are always clean and the property is well manicured. If rates do not increase, I will be renewing my lease. Floor plan: Barcelona with garage

Moved here in May. A very pleasant change from NYC. An update, the ad for this place said gated, secure. Four months and the gates are still broken. The wasp nests are back on the stairs. Update, had an emergency on Sunday morning, got a call back in 5 minutes, A/C fixed, AMEN.

I lived at Century Ariva for two years, and my move out experience confirmed everything that was wrong during my time there. Security was a constant issue the gates were always open, which completely defeats the purpose of a gated community. There were ongoing pest and on top of that, residents are charged double for trash services every month. Amenities are advertised but rarely usable. The grills were constantly out of service, the movie theater never worked, and the fire pit was never operational. Even the business center was essentially useless. The office printer never worked, and the computers were extremely slow, making it frustrating and impractical to use. A very special thank you to…MARISOL, who worked with us from day one. She was never pushy-she’s kind, professional, respectful, and made the entire process smooth and comfortable. During our tour and throughout the application process, she explained everything clearly and took her time with us. She also made sure certain things in the apartment were taken care of before our move-in, which we appreciated so much. I’ve lived at Century Ariva for some time, but this summer has been a nightmare. My AC broke on June 3rd, and it took almost 7 weeks to fix it. I had to constantly follow up just to get any updates, and the portable unit they gave me barely helped and raised my power bill. Worse, after AC repair, my carbon monoxide alarm went off. The maintenance guy came, forced it off, and never told me to evacuate or provide an explanation. I later found CO still in the air with my own detector that I had to buy since I did not trust them(with good reason), and had to leave with my dogs. After everything, they only offered a $250 rent credit, which I still haven’t seen confirmed.
